When talking about awesome and instagramable summit never miss Mt. Pulag.
The Summit
Jump Off (Ranger Station)
- There are two trails to choose for the climb, the Akiki Trail (Killer Trail) and Ambangeg Trail (Celebrity Trail). We decided to choose Ambangeg because it is easy and can be done first timers without any climbing experience.
- From Manila International Airport it will take you 4-5 hours private hire vehicle or 5-6 hours public bus to reach Bagiuo City.
- We took our breakfast along the way and chill the amazing view.
- Eating local foods is a must.
- We started our climb around 2:00 PM. Set up up our tent at Camp 2 to stay for night.
- Trail wise very easy and gradually going higher. It took 4 hours for our team to reach Camp 2. We also set up our tents.
- As what camper’s do, cook your own meal. Socialise after dinner.
Sunrise
- We started to hike at 4:30 AM to catch the sunrise. Indeed rewarding and fulfilling after witnessing the amazing gift of nature.
The descend
- Going down is the saddest part. Not because it is a long way hike down from summit to the Ranger Station.
- After reaching Camp 2 we took a quick breakfast as it will be a long way descend.
- We managed to reach Ranger Station around 2:00 PM.
- During the way back to Bagiuo City, we also did some side trips.
The farewell
- We will always say goode to each other but memories will never be forgotten.
