Dunga Gali – We started our journey from a city called Lahore located in Pakistan. Lahore is one of the wealthiest city of Pakistan. It’s also the 2nd largest city and is also known for its historic representation of the country. (Image shows a village in Lahore with historic importance).
Lahore to Dunga gali is almost 7 hours drive, so we left early morning at 6 and our first stop was Islamabad which was a 4 hours drive whihc means we were only left with 2 more hours. Islamabad is the Capital of Pakistan and knows as one of the most beautiful cities of the world with lowest crime rate, Greenery and it’s also known for it’s extremely well planning.
After stopping at Islamabad we had breakfast and then continued our journey. Our next stop was Murree which was 1hr 30 minutes away from Islamabad. On the way we faced heavy snowfall and everything was covered in white. It was just like someone put a black and white filter all over the place.
Murree’s Construction of the town was started in 1851 on the hill of Murree as a sanatorium for British troops. The permanent town of Murree was constructed in 1853 and the church was consecrated shortly thereafter. One main road was established, commonly referred to even in modern times, as the mall
We were now only one hour away from Dunga gali. Dunga Gali is at an altitude of 2,500 metres (8,200 ft) in northern Pakistan. During British Rule, Doonga Gali served as a sanatorium to Indians and contained a hotel, including a post office. The area was also visited by Europeans, who also had houses on the southern slopes.
We spent 2 days in Dunga Gali and believe me the sight viewing was a treat for the eyes, We experienced a beautiful sunset in the picture above and planned on to see the Sun rise on the day we decided to go back. The sun rise was beautiful and I was lost in the moment I just wanted to spend another day to watch the rise once again and trust me the camera couldn’t do it justice but I tried.
