Kanazawa City｜Ishikawa Japan

Kanazawa City is located in the center part of Ishikawa where there are remaining historical structures. To be accurate, Kanazawa escaped from war, so there are many picturesque buildings and spots. These are so attractive to people, especially tourists. In fact, so many people from other countries often visit here.

So, In this article, I am going to share with you my experience during my Kanazawa trip. Please check it till the end.

Kanazawa station

Everyone will visit a Kanazawa station to come to Kanazawa, which is established on april 1, Meiji year. The wooden monuments are crafted with a unique sensibility and the appearance of the station is truly mystical, captivating onlookers.

Kanazawa station has a variety of shops such as souvenir shops and food shops as well as Obento shops. If you can visit here, you would stay in Kanazawa station throughout the day.

To be honest, I could use a lot of time to explore and eat food here. So I highly recommend that you should decide a time to spend it before coming to Kanazawa station.

Kenroku-en

Kenroku-en is chosen as the place of the three most japanese beautiful gardens. It has been created over time using a combination of various gardening techniques from different eras. Various plants are adjusted and cut to keep a good appearance experts. As you can see, the remaining spectacular view is like a historical structure.

When walking along Kenroku-en, I had fun forgetting time. The sound was so quiet that I could hear leaves rustling in the wind.

Higashi-Chaya District

this place has remaining important structures from the past when It was so popular as a “Chaya District” for tourists.

Currently, Higashi-Chaya District has been renovated as restaurants and souvenir shops which sell stuff made from Ishikawa.

HAKU-ICHI

As you can see, this is a softcream, but It’s not just one. Gold leaf is put on the top of a softcream which seems to be gorgeous. If you can see one for the first time, you may be surprised it, but Don’t worry, This is a gold leaf for eating.

Some people care about this texture, however, gold is in fine particles, so it’s not noticeable.

You’ll be able to savor the rich taste of a softcream and have fun seeing gorgeous looks.

Omicho Ichiba

After establishing this market in 1690, Omicho Ichiba was flourished as a big market, especially the Kaga clan loved here, and then Various shops increased at Omicho Ichiba  as retail shops, Wholesale, and brokerage.

Finally, it had become a big place where a variety of fresh fishes, fruits as well as meats are sold at retail stores and restaurants.

Morimori Sushi

And when staying at Omicho Ichiba, we went to “Morimori sushi” to eat typical Japanese sushi. Here it became a famous place as a local Conveyor belt sushi shop which gourmets love.

In my opinion, the fish is super fresh because the sea is close to Omicho Ichiba. so It had no smell like fishy, we could feel the real sushi texture and original flavor. And then, their policies are reasonable, compared with other sushi shops. It’s worth visiting here from far away.

In this article, I introduced Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture in Japan, where traditional streetscapes are preserved. With beautiful buildings and delicious food, it’s a wonderful place that satisfies both the eyes and the stomach.
