If you are in search of a perfect holiday spot, then I would definitely recommend Prague! Christmas is a time when you get to see the true beauty of Prague and enjoy different attractions. I will walk you through the best things you can do in 72 hours during your stay in Prague.

After arriving in Prague we headed towards Wenceslas square. It was crowded with tourists and all lightened up for Christmas.

Prague’s Metro System is a pretty good option for tourists. It has easy connections to all the top tourist attractions. During our stay, we explored Prague using the underground metro system and loved it and got easily familiar with the routes.

Prague being a multi-cultural city offers a variety of foods. For dinner, we went for traditional Pakistani Cuisine at one of the Pakistani restaurants in Prague.

To enjoy the splendid views of the castle you need to climb the famous Old Castle’s stairs. Well, it is tiring if you’re not hydrated. After reaching the top, you can enjoy the outstanding views of the city and appreciate the gothic architecture of the Cathedral.

The Castle of Prague has an amazing architecture with elegant detailing. You cannot take your eyes off the beautiful castle. Before starting the Castle tour we indulged in hot coffee from a Christmas market stall to keep ourselves energized throughout the tour. We got to the ticket counter in the morning and bought the tickets for the tour of the Cathedral and Royal Palace as it gets more crowded in the afternoon.

St. Vitus Cathedral has an appealing framework and the intricate detailing on the walls and windows surprised me as I entered the Cathedral. The long queues are worth it to see the cathedral. The Cathedral dominates every other building.

After touring the Cathedral, the ‘Golden Lane’ was our next destination. The small colorful houses are said to be the houses of Castle’s guards and the goldsmiths. Many artifacts and belongings of the residents are still present in the houses for the tourists.

On the third day, we toured Prague’s Old Town. The Old Town was so lively with a crowd of people and the streets were accessorized with Christmas ornaments all around. Traditional food and decoration stalls at the Christmas market offered varieties to the tourists.

We tried the Hungarian spiral cake at the Christmas market that was warm and tasty for a cold morning.

Prague’s Old town is a great place for shopaholics. Enjoy traditional food from one of the cafes or have a cup of coffee from the nearest Starbucks Café.

Prague houses the famous Medieval Astronomical Clock located in the Old town. The Clock follows a mechanism that shows astronomical information based on the positions of Sun and Moon. One of the unique things not to be missed while in Prague.

Another attraction in Prague is the Head of Franz Kafka, a German-Bohemian novelist. A rotating sculpture that is quite noticeable when you pass it.

Petrin Park was our last attraction for the trip. You can reach Petrin Hill taking a tram or walk. The dazzling Petrin gardens are a beautiful-romantic spot for couples. We got to enjoy a very interesting activity that was a crazy-fun Mirror Maze with optical illusions.

Petrin tower is an amazing spot to enjoy scenic views of the city from the top. Buy yourself a ticket and enjoy eye-catching views.
